Our History 

For over 30 years, the name Chadder & Co. has been synonymous with the luxury bathroom sector. 
We are a family business and proud to have become a household name, both in the UK and internationally. We design traditional and vintage-style baths and bathroom fittings of the highest quality. 
 
Chadder & Co. products are a culmination of engineering skills, a passion for restoration, traditional styling and creative vision. As engineers and designers, we ensure our products are as beautiful as they are practical.

From the beginning 

Martin Chadder began in 1987 by sourcing and restoring antique roll-top baths. 
 
As the demand grew for the antique baths and supply was harder to source, Martin started to take moulds from some of the very comfortable and rare baths. With his connections to the marine industry and a lot of R+D, the Chadite composite material was developed and used on the new roll-top baths. This development led him to designing what is now recognised as the Chadite bath. 
 
A timeless roll-top bath design that cherishes the beauty of antique cast iron baths but is engineered using modern materials and finishes. 
 
The resulting Chadite bath design and Chadder & Co. range is a suite of luxury bathroom furniture and accessories that are at home in both traditional and contemporary settings.

We make unique and beautiful products with purpose and care, and make them to order here in England. Supporting artisans and local manufacturers has always been important to us and never more so than now. 
 
There is a fantastic legacy of product design, innovation and manufacturing in this country and we are always going to champion it.

How it's made

Design & Vision 

Our drive to perfect the form and function of our products has led us to a privileged position of worldwide recognition. Our passion for design and quality was rewarded in 2005 when the business was granted a Royal Warrant by the Queen. This was a great honour, and we are proud to have held the Royal Warrant for 15 years. 
 
Having such recognition and an international reputation is a privilege, but we are also proud to have retained our small business mentality. We remain entirely family-run, enabling us to deliver an exceptional personalised service and allowing us the freedom to continually evolve and innovate. 

By Royal Appointment 

Royal Warrants are a highly prized mark of recognition for individuals or companies who have supplied goods or services for at least five years to the Households of Her Majesty The Queen, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. 
 
The warrants signify that the holders provide exemplary service, quality and excellence of the highest calibre. 
 
Royal Warrant holders since 1897 and marking some of England’s most significant cultural moments, Bath Shield / Chadder and Co. were awarded the Royal Warrant to the Queen in 2005 and held it continuously for 15 yrs

Martin & Sam Chadder 

Martin Chadder 

Martin has over 35 years of experience designing luxury bathroom products. Products that elevate a space from merely functional to something eminently more stylish and personal. 
 
Martin’s design inspiration is rooted in a passion for engineering and the techniques used in the luxury sailing industry. This passion has led to a design portfolio of products that deliver luxurious bathrooms without compromising on practicality or style. 
 
Martin works with artisans all over the UK that specialise in casting, machining, polishing and plating. Ensuring that the right combination of skills and techniques are being utilised in the manufacturing of our luxury bathroom range. 

Sam Chadder 

Sam is Director of International Sales and Bespoke Commercial Projects, working with end clients and professionals to deliver the highest quality, tailored bathroom products. His experience, passion and creative approach deliver intelligent, beautiful designs that always meet and exceed client expectations. 
 
Our renowned mosaic baths are all personally designed by Sam, and are now sought the world over for their uncompromising quality and decadent style. His passion for the products, skill and attention to detail have led him to play a pivotal role in taking our brand to the global luxury market. 
 
Regularly working with architects, designers, developers and management in the luxury hospitality sector, Sam has delivered Chadder & Co. products into the most luxurious settings worldwide. On every project, Sam works with the client from the inception of the design concept through to completion. He guides clients through style, form and function to ensure the end result is nothing short of exceptional.
